The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the academic affairs and program planning unit of the University.   USN is a non-profit private university and has two locations:  Henderson, NV and South Jordan, UT.  The position is located in Henderson, NV.  However, occasional travel to Utah is anticipated. 

Qualifications:  A minimum of ten years prior administrative experience with High School Diploma or a minimum of five years prior administrative experience with 2 years of college is required. Please see Job Description for more details.

Instructors who are professionally qualified (master’s level academic credentials in field with more than five years related and current work/teaching experience) and/or academically qualified (doctoral credentials in field) to teach graduate level (MBA) business courses are invited to apply, especially those in Accounting, Finance, and Operations Management/Research fields.  Applications are accepted on an on-going basis and successful applicants will be contacted as part-time openings become available throughout the year.  Preference will be given to applicants with documented record of excellence in teaching and experience in enhancing the success of diverse learners.  In addition, the appropriate terminal degrees (Ph.D., Ed.D., JD), certifications (CPA, etc) or strong evidence of progress towards achieving the appropriate credentials is a plus.

USN is a non-profit private university and has two locations:  Henderson, NV and South Jordan, UT.  The position is located in Henderson, NV.  

Qualifications:  A Bachelor's degree is required.  An advanced degree is preferred.  A minimum of 10 years experience in financial aid, with at least 5 years administrative experience at the level of Assistant Director or higher in financial aid in a 4-year college or university is required. 

The Director provides leadership for the planning, direction, and evaluation of a comprehensive financial aid delivery system and ensures the effective management of all available financial aid applications.  Strong communication skills and thorough knowledge of student information system, PowerFAIDS (SunGard Higher Education) or similar financial aid information system, with in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and private loan programs, including the regulations and reporting requirements associated with those programs, is essential. For more information, please see the full job description.

Faculty Position in Social and Administrative Pharmacy

The USN College of Pharmacy is currently seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the South Jordan, Utah campus in the area of social and administrative pharmacy.

Responsibilities include teaching in blocks and electives related to pharmacy administration and management, patient communication, pharmacoeconomics, and the U.S. health care system. Additional responsibilities include participating in research and scholarly endeavors, and providing service to the college and the community. In lieu of tenure, the college offers renewable, multi-year contracts. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. degree in pharmacy social/behavioral/administrative sciences or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills and an interest in teaching, especially creative and non-traditional methods of teaching. Documented evidence of research and other intellectual initiatives is required.

College of Pharmacy: Adult Acute Care

Applicants from all specialty areas are encouraged to apply, especially those with expertise and/or interest in infectious disease, internal medicine, critical care, and transplantation. The successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities including didactic teaching, clinical practice, precepting, service to the College, and scholarly endeavors. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop a clinical practice and maintain direct patient care in his/her specialty area at one of two large regional medical centers. The exact emphasis on responsibilities is flexible, and will be tailored to meet the individual professional goals of the candidate. Other potential opportunities include assisting in the development of a College-affiliated pharmacotherapy residency program, didactic teaching to allied health students, and delivering continuing education programs.

Required or desired credentials or experience of applicants: The candidate shall have a Pharm.D. with residency or fellowship training (or equivalent experience) and be licensed/eligible for licensure in Nevada.
