College of Pharmacy: Director, Drug Information Resource Center

The College of Pharmacy invites applications for the Director of the Drug Information Resource Center.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the advancement and oversight of the College’s Drug Information Resource Center including the development of center policies and procedures, services, assessment and quality assurance methods; identification of affiliates, and budget management.

The director reports directly to the Dean, and will work collaboratively with the College’s Library Learning Resources Center.  College responsibilities include didactic and experiential training of students and residents, scholarly endeavors, and service.

Requirements include PharmD degree with residency and/or fellowship training with a minimum of 2 years practice or equivalent experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, and administrative experience. Ideally the candidate should have experience in an academic drug information center or a hospital-based drug information service.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. College of Pharmacy: Ambulatory Care Faculty

Applicants from all specialty areas are encouraged to apply, especially those with an interest in pediatric or adult ambulatory care.  The successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities including didactic teaching, clinical practice, precepting, service to the College and scholarly endeavors.  Several potential practice sites are available with the possibility of working in an established clinical site or developing a new clinical practice with the strong support of a local hospital.  All possible sites have > 400 beds.  The exact emphasis or responsibilities are flexible, and will be tailored to meet the individual professional goals of the candidate.  Other opportunities include assisting in the development of a College-sponsored residency program and the potential for teaching other healthcare professional students or trainees.  USN prides itself in being able to offer an innovative educational system, and seeks individuals who aspire to work in an environment where they can directly impact the quality of education and patient care.

College of Pharmacy: Pharmaceutics Faculty

The College is currently seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the South Jordan, Utah campus in the area of pharmaceutics.

Responsibilities include teaching in blocks and electives related to pharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics, participating in research and scholarly endeavors, and providing service to the College and the community.  In lieu of tenure, the College offers renewable, multi-year contracts.  Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum requirements include a PhD degree in Pharmaceutics or a closely related discipline.  The successful candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills and an interest in teaching, especially creative and non-traditional methods of teaching.  Documented evidence of research and other forms of intellectual initiatives is required.

Positions are available for full -time faculty in Medical Surgical, and Psychiatric Nursing. The successful candidates must have a graduate degree in nursing or a related field and be licensed or eligible for licensure as RN in Nevada. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but is not required.
