Fifth Annual Scholarship Gala
Proceeds from the elegant event will fund scholarships and student services, university outreach and the University of Southern Nevada Obesity Research and Wellness Institute, a first-of-its-kind facility in Nevada that will address the growing issue of obesity in our communities.
The University of Southern Nevada will also present its “Champions of Health Care in Education” Awards recognizing individuals that have made significant contributions to health and education in Nevada. This year’s honorees include Ann Lynch of Sunrise Hospital, Dr. Giuseppe Pizzorno of Nevada Cancer Institute and Dr. Anthony Pollard of Rainbow Medical Centers.
“The University of Southern Nevada is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our honorees. All three have made incredible strides to improve the health and well-being of our communities and to promote healthy living,” said Joan McIntyre of Orgill Singer Insurance and gala table chair.
Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m., accompanied by musical entertainment and a silent auction. Dinner, program and a live auction will follow along with ”Dancing Around The World,” coordinated by Vital, former acrobat and choreographer with Cirque Du Soleil.
