Dr. Wendell Jones is a Professor of Management with the University of Southern Nevada where he teaches marketing, management, strategy and management information systems courses in the MBA program. His former management positions include Senior Vice President, NASD/NASDAQ; Vice President, Compaq; GM, McDonnell Douglas Information Services Company; and Chair of Computer Science Faculty at West Point.

Dr. Jones has consulted to private and public-sector organizations worldwide, and he enjoys a leading profile as an outsourcing practitioner and thought leader. . He specializes in advising and assisting clients with outsourcing evaluations and management.   His clients have included Readers Digest Association, Parkland Health and Hospital System, Michigan State Housing Development Authority, ABN AMRO (London), World Bank, Maple (UK), GenVec, Getty Trust and Museum, FMC, Xerox, BIOSIS and American University.

He implemented and managed one of the largest outsourcing relationships, a $3 billion contract with McDonnell Douglas and IBM. He later pioneered offshore outsourcing for the securities industry at NASD and managed global delivery of outsourcing services for Compaq (formerly DEC)

Dr. Jones is the co-author of  Outsourcing Information Technology Systems and Services,  a Prentice Hall book published in English and  Chinese, and he authored numerous articles and white papers, including Offshore Outsourcing: Strategies, Practices and Pitfalls, Building Value Chain Capabilities, Competitive Supplier Strategies for the Global Marketplace, Strategic Sourcing, Attending to the People Issues in Outsourcing, Outsourcing Strategy and the Role of Senior Management, Outsourcing: Key Tips for Success, Involving Key Stakeholders in the Outsourcing Process, CIO Success in the Global Economy, Outsourcing, Alliances and Partnerships: What is the Connection

He appeared on CNBC business production, and has been widely quoted about outsourcing published in Fortune, Business Week, Investors Business Daily, Wall Street Journal, InformationWeek, CIO, Wall Street & Technology, ServiceNews and other publications. He narrated two Watch IT productions on Optimizing IT to Meet Business Objectives. Recognized internationally as a leading outsourcing practitioners and thought leader, he is a frequent speaker at executive and technical conferences.

Dr. Jones was a Post-doctoral Fellow at Cornell University; eaSara Cullenrned a Ph.D. in Management and an MBA from the University of Georgia; and was graduated with a BS degree from the University of Arkansas.
