Dennis Chamberland BS
Director of Institutional Advancement

Dennis is the Director of Institutional Advancement for the University of Southern Nevada.  He was born in Ontario, Canada and raised in Las Vegas where he attended St. Annes Elementary School, Bishop Gorman High School and later the University of San Diego where he graduated in 1985. 

Dennis’ years of senior-level experience in human resource management, fiscal and strategic management as well as fund and donor development is extensive.  Prior to arriving at USN, Dennis was the Principal of Chamberland Consulting where he provided expert advisory services to mid-cap businesses in the areas of internal & external process development & standardization, customer relationship packaging and effective job costing and job close-out processes.

Dennis has served with the American Heart Association as the Southern California Director of Major & Planned Giving and later the Northern California Executive Director housed in San Francisco. Dennis was also the Nevada State Executive Director for the March of Dimes where he was nationally recognized as a leader in donor development and major giving.  He was a founding member of the Foundation For Children With Special Needs where he forged partnerships with national corporations to implement successful programs and initiatives like the Children’s Shoe Drive that delivered over 70,000 pairs of shoes to needy children, the Parents For Children program which served as a benchmark standard for online adoption technology and the Child Abuse Awareness Campaign that educated the community of teachers and parents on ways to identify and prevent the various forms of child abuse. 

Dennis is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving and other local business groups and has also volunteered his time serving the community as President and At-Large member of various non-profit community boards in California and Nevada.
