Andrew Draper PharmD, MS, BS
Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Coordinator of Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience

Dr. Andrew Draper earned his Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Utah in 1994, graduating with honors. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a biomedical officer in the U.S. Air Force, supervising pharmacy operations at military health facilities in North Dakota, Japan, and Idaho.

Upon separation from active duty military service, Dr. Draper began working with Express Scripts as a Clinical Program Manager. During this time, Dr Draper also completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Upon completing his degree, Dr Draper supervised pharmacy operations at Katterbach Army Medical Clinic in Ansbach, Germany; he also collaborated with the European Regional Medical Command and local health care facilities there. Returning to the United States, Dr Draper practiced pharmacy and mentored students at the managed care organization Select Health; in 2007, he also initiated full-time pharmacy services at the Fourth Street Clinic, a Health Care for the Homeless health center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr Draper is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association. He also has served on the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s Membership Committee and the National Health Care for the Homeless Council Clinicians’ Network.


In June 2009 Dr. Draper accepted a faculty appointment at the University of Southern Nevada as the Introductory Experience Coordinator and an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice. His areas of special interest include patient education, diabetes, and serving underprivileged populations. He enjoys spending family time, running, and traveling.
