Jingyang Fan PharmD, BCPS
Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Fan received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated with high honor and was inducted into the Rho Chi Society and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.  She then went on to complete an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, where she also obtained a Certificate for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.  Dr. Fan joined the University of Southern Nevada College of Pharmacy (USNCOP) as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice in 2002.  She currently teaches in the pharmacotherapeutic blocks to the second year students and serves as an active member on several College committees.   In addition to her appointment at the College, Dr. Fan also provides clinical services to the Internal Medicine teams at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMCSN).  She also precepts pharmacy residents and pharmacy students at UMCSN.  In addition, Dr. Fan has an adjunct faculty appointment from Touro and provides pharmacology lectures to the Doctor of Osteopathy and Physician Assistant students.  Dr. Fan is interested in various areas of pharmacy practice including cardiology, critical care, and infectious disease.  Her research areas of interest include anticoagulation, therapeutic drug monitoring, and innovative teaching methods.  She received her board certification in pharmacotherapy in 2003 and currently belongs to the Cardiology and Adult Medicine Practice Research Networks (PRNs) of the American of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
