Patricia Vital is the Assistant Librarian for the University of Southern Nevada with previous experience at the University Medical Center’s Medical Library. While there, she initiated and developed the use of the computerized circulation system and created a detailed database of the library’s journal collection. She was in charge of the library’s accounting and assisted, as necessary, in the Continuing Medical Education department. Her ability to establish new projects will continue the progress of the Library and Learning Resources Center.

Originally from Indiana, Patricia moved to Las Vegas to begin the long road to a music career. She attended Indiana University’s School of Music, where she studied vocal performance, music theory, history, and dance. She is currently studying opera and performed her first operatic role as Frasquita in Bizet’s “Carmen” with Opera Las Vegas.
