Dr. Metzger received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Georgetown University and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. He has worked as a research fellow in opioid research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) in Baltimore, Maryland and at the University of Minnesota. His classroom duties include teaching in medicinal chemistry, metabolism, and pharmaceutical calculations. He has served as an Assistant Professor at the Nevada College of Pharmacy since October 2001 and has held the office of Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs since January 2004.
