Jeff Rosenblatt PharmD, BCPS
In 1994, Dr. Rosenblatt relocated to Southern Nevada from his home state of California. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1997. His career in pharmacy began in 1997 for Walgreen’s pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. He has since been employed in the pharmacies of University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC), Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital, and various community pharmacies.
Dr. Rosenblatt, a member of the charter class of the Nevada College of Pharmacy, received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2003. During his first year of pharmacy school, Dr. Rosenblatt served as President of the newly developed Nevada Pharmacy Alliance, Academy of Students of Pharmacy (NPA-ASP) and as Treasurer of the Nevada College of Pharmacy Student Alliance during the subsequent year. In his final year as a student, Dr. Rosenblatt became a charter member of both the Beta Omega chapter of the pharmacy leadership society, Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), and the Beta Upsilon chapter of Phi Delta Chi. In the year following his attainment of a PharmD, Dr. Rosenblatt completed an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)-accredited pharmacy practice residency.
As an alumnus, he continues his relationship with the University by serving as the first University of Southern Nevada (USN) student to return as faculty and as a founding co-president of the USN Alumni Association. He also serves as a member of the Admissions Committee and is the first faculty member to develop clinical services at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center for advanced pharmacy practice rotations. He is also the first USN alumnus to attain credentials from the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
National professional organization memberships include ASHP, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). Recently, Dr. Rosenblatt received the necessary credentials to certify other pharmacists to administer vaccines. In his free time, Dr. Rosenblatt enjoys skiing, golf, hiking, attending live theater, and music.
