Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

You may start the financial aid application process beginning January 1 for the following academic year. USN encourages students to apply for financial aid early and to apply by USN’s recommended financial aid application deadlines. USN’s School Code is 040653.

Visit the Federal Student Aid website and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Step by step instructions are provided on the FAFSA Web site including online help features. You may also call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1.800.4.FED.AID, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to midnight and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

USN Financial Aid Office
USN has been approved to participate in the Title IV Federal Financial Aid Program.

Once you have been formally enrolled in your program the Financial Aid Office will begin the award process. In order to complete your Financial Aid Award Notification additional documents are required:
 

Your Financial Aid Award Notification from the Financial Aid Office reports the federal and/or private aid for which you qualify. If your Award Notification includes federal loans you must select a lender, complete the USN Loan Applications and submit them to the Financial Aid Office, and complete the Master Promissory Notes with your chosen lender. If your Award Notification includes a private loan you must select a lender and complete the lender's loan application.

Please note: Financial Aid Awards may be adjusted during the year by the Financial Aid Office due to factors such as a change in the student's eligibility or additional resources received by the student.
