College of Pharmacy: Assistant Dean for Clinical Programs

The Assistant Dean is responsible for planning, managing and implementing all aspects of experiential education.  This individual will be responsible for identifying the needs of our current students, practice faculty, preceptors, and affiliated experiential sites and collaborating with these stakeholders to help achieve the goals of the experiential curriculum.  The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.  The candidate is required to have a PharmD or equivalent experience, must be licensed or eligible for pharmacy licensure in the state of Nevada or Utah, and have had experience precepting pharmacy students.  The candidate should also be qualified to mentor practice-based faculty in the areas of teaching, research, precepting and patient care.  A previous academic appointment and experience in experiential program planning and administration at a college of pharmacy are highly desired.

College of Pharmacy (Henderson): Adult Acute or Ambulatory Care

Applicants from all specialty areas are encouraged to apply, especially those with expertise and/or interest in inpatient infectious disease, oncology, internal medicine, critical care, or cardiology. We also seek individuals with expertise and/or interest in adult or pediatric ambulatory care. The successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities including didactic teaching, clinical practice, precepting, service to the College, and scholarly endeavors. Several potential practice sites are available with the possibility of working in an established clinical site or developing a new clinical practice. In addition, the position may include practice at either a tertiary/teaching hospital/clinic or at a community hospital. The exact emphasis or responsibilities are flexible, and will be tailored to meet the individual professional goals of the candidate.

Required or desired credentials or experience of applicants: The candidate shall have a PharmD with residency or fellowship training (or equivalent experience) and be licensed/eligible for licensure in Nevada. Positions are available for full ‐time faculty in Medical Surgical. The successful candidates must have a graduate degree in nursing or a related field and be licensed or eligible for licensure as RN in Nevada. Previous teaching experience is preferred, but is not required.
