02/18/2009 - International Students
The University of Southern Nevada - College of Nursing accepts qualified international students and follows the Immigration and Naturalization (INS) rules and regulations on the issuance of Form I-20.
The College of Nursing curriculum requires a background check of all students in our BSN program. Due to this, all students are required to obtain a social security number in order to have a background check completed. For more information, you may visit the Social Security website.
Non U.S. Coursework
In order to have coursework from a non-U.S. college or University considered, a transcript evaluation from World Education Services (WES), or Josef Silny and Associates (JSA) must be submitted. Evaluations must be official and received by the College of Nursing in its original sealed envelope.
The applicant submitting coursework in English Composition of Speech from non-English speaking foreign schools must have a score of 550 or above (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Please use the University of Southern Nevada TOEFL code 446.3.
The College of Nursing reserves the right to limit the number of students admitted based upon faculty and clinical resources.
