Nursing Admissions Requirements

10/10/2007 - Offer of Admission

Admission Packet
Applicants offered admission receive an admission's packet to include:

  1. A formal letter from the Dean of the College of Nursing granting admission into the program
  2. An admission Form
  3. Information from the Financial Aid Office
  4. Payment and Registration Agreement Forms
  5. Health Insurance Information

Accepting Admission
In order to accept an offer of admission, an applicant should return the following to the University:

  1. A completed admission form indicating acceptance to the offer of admission
  2. A seating deposit of $250 - Cashier's Check or money order payable to the University of Southern Nevada. The seating deposit is applied to the first year's tuition.
  3. If applicable, health insurance information
  4. A completed Payment and Registration form indicating the choice in payment options.

Upon receipt of all Admission Packet materials, additional information will be sent to the student to include:

  1. Orientation information
  2. List of required textbooks and materials
  3. Clinical requirement information and forms
  4. Laptop specifications
  5. Roommate database information
  6. Academic Calendar

Admission to the College of Nursing is contingent upon the Admissions and Enrollment Office receiving official transcripts documenting successful completion of all prerequisites, and meeting minimum admission requirements by July 31, 2008 unless a conditional enrollment has been granted.

Applicants who decline, are denied or withdraw from an offer of admission, must reapply to be considered for admission in future classes.
