06. Are you accredited?
The University of Southern Nevada has been granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, 8060 165th Avenue N.E. Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052.
Candidacy is not accreditation nor does it ensure eventual accreditation. Candidate for Accreditation is a status of affiliation with the Commission which indicates that the institution has achieved initial recognition and is progressing toward accreditation.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has received initial accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, 61 Broadway, 33rd Floor, New York, NY 10006. The BSN program has recently completed its initial site visit for accreditation in November 2007 and has been recommended for full accreditation by the NLNAC, pending board review and approval.
