USN Scholarship Gala

Each spring, the University presents an exciting themed Gala which helps to fund the over $200,000 in student scholarships and services presented yearly to our pharmacy, nursing, dental and MBA students.

From “Hollywood Nights” with movie stars, paparazzi and world-class entertainment to our Kentucky Derby party, “Run For The Roses,” our galas offer an unforgettable experience of fun, food and frolic, sure to keep our guests returning for more creative adventures year after year. With silent and live auctions, featuring internationally acclaimed auctioneers, to mystery gifts and strolling entertainers, every gala provides food for the imagination as well as the palate. The event features the highly coveted “Champion of Health Care In Education” awards presented each year to dedicated community leaders in medicine, education and philanthropy. Chefs Wine & Spirits Too!

This amazing event is a favorite among all attendees. It is offered at the end of Summer/early Fall and presents a six-course gourmet dinner with wine pairings. Each course is prepared by a different world-class chef who you get to meet along with the sommelier as they describe how their course was created and paired. Local florists design all of the tables in a floral competition with the centerpieces being auctioned to the attendees at the end of the evening. When entering the room and viewing the designs, the most popular response is a giant WOW! Every attendee receives a gift plus a full color cookbook with all of the evening’s recipes, bios of the chefs and information about the chef’s restaurant. Prior to the dinner, an over-the-top reception featuring exotic cocktails and hors d’oeurves is presented. So, if you are a food and wine enthusiast, this is a must attend event.  Proceeds from this event fund our community outreach health festivals where free health screenings are provided for the public six times each year.
