ACPE Update

We wanted to make you aware that the standards for accredited pharmacy continuing education changed in January of 2009.  Continuing education activities will now be labeled based on the type of activity.

Knowledge-based activities - designed to improve general knowledge on a topic

Application-based activities - structured to allow the participant to learn how to apply the information (perhaps through the use of role-playing or case studies for example)

Practice-based activities - created to allow the participant to gain knowledge and skills but also practice-based behaviors relating to the topic.  This type of program will take the place of certificate programs currently offered by some providers.  These types of programs will be a minimum of 15 contact hours.

 Future programs

We periodically send out emails regarding future programs to those interested.  To be included on our email distribution list, please email LaToya Conners or call 702-968-2086.  If you need of assistance with accessibility for any of our programs, please give us at least 14 days notice and we will try to accommodate your needs.
