Burt Barnard MLS
Health Sciences Librarian

Burt was born in Murray, Utah, son of Michael and Mary Ann Barnard. He grew up in Taylorsville, Utah and graduated from Taylorsville High School. He spent two years in Alaska on a mission for his church and then attended and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1996 with a Bachelors degree in History. He then moved to Texas and received his Masters of Library Science from the University of North Texas in 1999. For eight years he was the librarian for the Murray Campus of Stevens-Henager College. He was hired on as the South Jordan Campus Health Science Librarian on February 25th.

He is married to the former Kathy LeFevre, and they have three children: two girls (ages: 10 & 3) and one boy (age: 6). He loves to read (favorite authors are David Eddings, Alexander Kent, and C.S. Forester.) He loves watching movies (especially Hunt for the Red October, the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the Pirates of the Caribbean). He also loves hunting through used bookstores for books he is collecting. His favorite sport is football (watching, not playing) and his favorite food is pizza.
